Kiwanis One Day is something akin to renewal of vows for volunteers and community partners who have pledged their time and resources in reaching out and finding innovative ways to support the communities through various service projects.
Here in Aklan province, Kiwanis clubs mobilized on October 24, 2020 its members and the community in Old Buswang in the capital town of Kalibo for the multi-projects to inspire and touch the lives of children and mothers.

Kiwanis Club of Kalibo president Jerome Padios said the club joined with Kiwanis Club of Golden Salakot Aklan and Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Legends for the volunteer services and contributions of hearts to make a difference in the community.
The community clubs also partnered with the Old Buswang barangay council and health workers as well as The Fraternal Order of Philippine Eagles-Aklan Golden Salakot Eagles Club to increase collaboration and to positively impact the community even in pandemic lockdowns.
Padios also gave leadership and direction for community volunteers to connect and interact with children and families through service projects.
"Even in tough times, the Kiwanians are here to impact others as part of Kiwanis One Day," Padios said.
Whether its feeding program, distribution of school supplies and hygiene kits, proper hand washing, dental hygiene and counselling for some 100 children and mothers, every engaging and meaningful project reinforces the Kiwanis way of compassion to serve.
Other volunteers have the opportunity to plant trees in a local community while the Philippine Lightning Speed Pencak Silat Aklan Warriors athletes also demonstrate their skills in helping kids cope with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kiwanis Club of Golden Salakot Aklan president Doneza Cezar also stressed Kiwanis One Day has been the perfect volunteer opportunities for Kiwanians across the province to help vulnerable people in this difficult time.
